One of the 'Steps Toward Elbasy': Laboratory Head Alexey Ivanov in Kazakhstan for its National Agenda Document
Алексей Иванов активно работает с казахскими коллегами по направлению развития инновационной среды и конкуренции.
We report that Alexei Ivanov is actively working with Kazakh colleagues towards the proper development of the innovation and competition spheres. Within the framework of the late-May Astana Economic Forum, Ivanov presented to the Asian and European forum leaders in the field of the knowledge economy, at an event organised by the national managing holding 'Baiterek' at the session 'The Development of New Innovative Financing Approaches'. Discussions at the Forum were devoted to the key issue of using Kazakhstan's experience in Europe and Asia to create an ecosystem to support innovative processes and facilitate the development of a competitive, diversified, and innovative economy.
Also in Kazakhstan Ivanov held several meetings with the Antitrust Agency, since on behalf of the OECD he is already preparing an expert analysis of competition law and policy for Kazakhstan. The reform of antitrust regulation is a distinct item on the Agenda of the Nation – a document describing one hundred concrete steps towards the implementation of the five institutional reforms of the Head of State, Nursultan Nazarbayev - Elbasy: Point 53 states, "Changing concepts of work of the Antitrust Service and its compliance with OECD standards. The updated Service must focus on the promotion of free competition".
