Alexey Ivanov takes part in Eurasian Antitrust Forum

The Jubilee V Annual International Eurasian Antitrust Forum (EAF) was held on February 27 - 28 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

The key mission of the EAF 2018 was to strengthen the ties between Europe and Asia by creating an international dialogue platform for the exchange of views across the scientific and expert communities, government agencies, and businesses on antitrust issues.

The EAF 2018 was organised by the Committee for Regulation of Natural Monopolies, Protection of Competition and Consumer Rights of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Centre for the Development and Protection of Competition Policy and the Association for the Development of Competition and Commodity Markets.

More than 160 representatives of state and private organisations from Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia and other countries took part in the work of the EAF 2018, including of course, representatives of antitrust agencies.

The agenda of the Forum included the following sessions:

- Judicial practice of cases on violations of antitrust legislation;

- Cartel agreements and collusion for tenders;

- Dominant position in the market - defining market power;

- Preventive measures and cautioning regarding violations of antimonopoly legislation.
