Director of the Institute as guest editor of the journal "Law"

The February issue of the esteemed journal is dedicated to the topic  “Protection of Competition and the Human Factor”.

In his editorial column, Alexey Ivanov notes: “To find new approaches to competition law in Russia, which will meet people's needs in this changing society and help solve their most pressing problems, that is the task, and the publication of this issue contributes to its solution. The central material is an interview with leading American economist, author of a number of bestsellers, and professor at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Luigi Zingales. The antitrust case against the Rockefeller empire was, according to Zingales - our respected guest in this issue - a turning point in the history of American capitalism, and a breath of fresh air for capitalism and one which led millions of Americans to believe in justice, and believe in a new equilibrium point for the system. Russia is still waiting for its Rockefeller moment, which will give our capitalism a human face.” The issue of antitrust regulation of social networks is also covered by an article from young researchers of the BRICS Antimonopoly Centre: Anna Pozdnyakova, Ekaterina Semenova, and Daria Kotova.

Also by Alexey Ivanov, presented in the issue, is: “Myths About Legal Monopoly, or The Tale of Why Innovation Doesn't Develop in Russia while the Stubborn Protection of Intellectual Property Persists.”
