Roaming Issues and Internet Regulation in the Digital Economy
Institute staff participate in Russian Competition Week.
On September 26th in the framework of Russian Competition Week, the International Working Group on Research of Competition Issues in the Market of International Telecommunications (Roaming) of the CIS Member-States held their seventh meeting. Since 2012 the competition authority and sectoral regulators of foreign countries actively participate in the activities of this organisation, created on the initiative of the FAS Russia.
Speeches were made by the working group co-chairs: Turkish Competition Authority President Ömer Torlak and Deputy Head of FAS Russia, Anatoly Golomolzin. Their reports were made, along with the reports of Institute Director Alexey Ivanov, and Institute Chief Research Fellow and Professor at UCL Ioannis Lianos, and President of the Competition Authority of Austria, Theodor Tanner. Deputy Head of the Competition Commission of South Africa Hardin Ratshisusu, Head of the Department of International Relations, Training, and Competition Advocacy of the Turkish Competition Authority Ali Ariost, and a number of experts from international organisations also contributed.
