The Institute and Antitrust Agenda at St. Petersburg International Legal Forum

Within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum held on May 16-20, the Higher School of Economics Skolkovo Institute for Law and Development, in close collaboration with the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia, organised a series of sessions on the most pressing problems of antitrust regulation.

Panel discussions took place on May 17-18. The first day saw the discussions "Antitrust Regulation of the Global Economy: Challenges for Regional Associations", "The Market for Medicines: Competition and Innovative Development: Challenges for Antitrust Medicine Policy". The second day was devoted to discussions on "Global Food Chains and Antitrust Regulation", " Global Digital Platforms and Challenges to Antitrust Law and Policies in the BRICS". Also on the forum's sidelines was a working group of the BRICS countries on food.
 
More than twenty world class experts from Europe, the United States, and the other BRICS countries came to Russia at the invitation of the Institute.
 
Speakers from the Institute were Director Alexey Ivanov, and Leading Researcher Ioannis Lianos.
 
Discussions on antitrust agenda within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum have become established as another stage in the customary May events devoted to antitrust with an emphasis on emerging markets, which the Institute has been holding in St. Petersburg for the third consecutive year.
