Director of the Institute at a meeting of the expert group of the Interim Commission of the Federation Council for the Protection of State Sovereignty

On July 13, Alexey Ivanov spoke at a meeting chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, head of the Interim Commission for the Protection of State Sovereignty and the Prevention of Interference in the Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Andrei Klimov.

During the event, Alexey noted that the concept of sovereignty has changed. In his opinion, in the twenty-first century, sovereignty is, first of all, the ability to define rules in the global economy. "An important topic that the work of the Commission could attend to would be the choice of priorities in the global economy, and the global regulatory systems in which Russia should participate".
