On July 13, Alexey Ivanov spoke at a meeting chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, head of the Interim Commission for the Protection of State Sovereignty and the Prevention of Interference in the Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Andrei Klimov.
On May 15th, the Russian Corporate Counsel Association (RCCA, non-commercial partnership) held the 7th Annual Scientific and Practical Conference, the theme being: "Futurology in Jurisprudence: How to make the new Russian legal ideas global", and it was delivered with the participation of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia, and the Ministry of Justice of Russia, together with the support of the audit and consulting firm EY, the international law firm Dentons, and the Goltsblat BLP law firm. The event was held within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum. Director of the Institute Alexey Ivanov acted as speaker.

The HSE-Skolkovo Institute for Law and Development held the session "The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU): is supranational law and the judicial system capable of stimulating economic development?" as part of the annual April International Scientific Conference of the Higher School of Economics.
Within the framework of the 18th April Conference of the Higher School of Economics, the Institute held a round table devoted to special legal regimes.
Institute staffers Kirill Molodyko and Maxim Karliuk, after a competitive selection process, on 6-7 October took part in the annual international conference "Development of Russian Law IX: Globalisation & Russian Law" in Helsinki, Finland. The conference is a joint project of the National Research University Higher School of Economics Faculty of Law, and the University of Helsinki - the leading law school of Finland.
At the invitation of the HSE-Skolkovo Institute for Law and Development on the 24th of May an open lecture was given by world-renowned Professor of international trade at Harvard University Robert Lawrence. The listeners were 80 undergraduate and graduate students of leading Moscow universities.
On May 23, the HSE-Skolkovo Institute for Law and Development together with the Valdai International Discussion Club held a practical discussion session on the theme: "Blocs, Sanctions, and International Trade in the 21st Century: Unified Rules, or the Continuing of Fragmentation?"
