The Appointment of Alexey Ivanov as Co-Chairman of the FAS Working Group on the Preparation of the Fifth Antimonopoly Package

The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia (FAS) is drafting a bill to amend FZ-135 "On Protection of Competition" - there is a discussion on the adaptation of antimonopoly regulation to the conditions of the new economy in the context of the fourth industrial revolution. The focus is on new models of business organisation and global value chains, as well as current digital technologies and phenomena (big data, blockchain, algorithms and platform solutions) and new intellectual property entities.

To prepare the Fifth Antimonopoly Package, a joint working group of the FAS and the Higher School of Economics Skolkovo Institute for Law & Development was established. Director of the Institute Alexey Ivanov was appointed its co-chairman - together with the chairman and deputy head of FAS, Andrey Tsyganov.
