Announcement: International Roundtable on Antitrust Regulation

The HSE-Skolkovo Institute for Law & Development, the Centre for Law, Economics and Society at the University College London, and the international organisation CUTS International will, on March 20 in New Delhi, hold an international round table devoted to the discussion of global business and market concentration in the agri-industrial complex.

The roundtable will be held within the framework of the annual conference on competition of the International Competition Network. The International Competition Network is an association of antitrust bodies from different countries around the world. The annual conferences discuss the role of competition law in ensuring economic growth and sustainable development, international experience in antitrust regulation, current problems and ways to improve the effectiveness of legal practice.

During the round table, it is planned to discuss methodological approaches to analysing the consequences for the state of competition regarding global dealings in economic concentration in food markets, as well as possible measures of antimonopoly response of the organisation member countries. The event will be attended by representatives of competition authorities of the BRICS countries, the European Commission, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), as well as leading experts in the field of competition law and policy.
