Masterful Masterchain Month

In the first 11 days of the current month, the first All-Russian Summer School “Masterchain” was held in Moscow with the participation of the Institute’s leading research fellow, Kirill Molodyko.

The organiser of the school was the National Research University Higher School of Economics. Co-organisers: "Digital Federation, Laboratory of Institutional Project Engineering” (autonomous non-commercial organisation). Among the partners of the school were: the Sirius Educational Centre, the Central Bank of Russia, Sberbank of Russia, VTB Bank, and the FinTech Association.

In the region of 50 students of technical degree programs from leading Russian universities were selected for participation in the school. During the school, the students partook in intense lecture courses on masterchain, blockchain, programming, and global and other technological trends in financial technologies.

In the course of the work the students of the school prepared program output in groups, in which they proposed practical ways of solving a number of important social problems.

The jury of the school had the participation of Kirill Molodyko, leading researcher at our Institute. As a result, 12 projects were submitted to the jury:

- A decentralised Digital Signage Marketplace,
- Smart contracts for ICO with investor protection,
- A distributed repository for certified documents,
- Client-server application for holding lotteries and draws with the use of blockchain technology,
- Transparent systems for donations,
 - A system of validation of temporary inquiries on the basis of the blockchain,
- Application for lending to legal entities by banks based on MasterChain,
- A blockchain digital notary,
- Promissory notes via Masterchain,
- A market exchange of securities-tokens on the Masterchain platform,
- Vehicle registration system on the Masterchain platform,
- A system of support for medical insurance decision making using Masterchain technology.

According to the results of the jury's voting, the projects “A system of support for medical insurance decision making using Masterchain technology” and, “Transparent systems for donations”, scored the highest.
