On October 22th-24th, the Eurasian Economic Commission is holding the third annual international forum "Eurasian week" in Yerevan. The Director of the Institute will moderate the discussion "Topical Issues of Competition in the EAEU".
The Eurasian Week is the largest international business event aimed at the development of the economy, investment in, and export of potential, across the Eurasian Economic Union. The forum is held in rotation of the countries of the EAEU. The first Eurasian Week was held in 2016 in Moscow, the second forum was held in Astana in August 2017. Customarily, Eurasian Week brings together more than 2,000 participants representing business, government agencies, and the expert community of the EAEU and third countries.
Within the framework of the forum, an event on "Topical Issues of Competition in the EAEU" will be held on October 23th. It is planned to discuss a number of issues: joint actions to prevent the negative impact of transnational companies that restrict competition, liability for violations of antitrust legislation and exemptions from it, introduction of antitrust compliance tools, and expansion of work in collaboration with business and competition advocacy.
Participating in the event will be judges of the Court of the EAEU, heads of antitrust authorities of the member states of the Union, and representatives of foreign antitrust authorities, international organisations, governments, and leaders of the business and scientific communities.
