Forum: Antitrust Laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan & the Eurasian Economic Union
On April 9th the Head of the Laboratory Alexey Ivanov took part in the Antitrust Forum organised by the Centre for Development and Protection of Competition Policy of Kazakhstan in conjunction with the non-profit partnership 'Supporting Competition in the CIS Countries' with the support of the Committee for Regulation of Natural Monopolies and Competition Protection of the Ministry of the National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Federal Antitrust Service of Russia.
Economic evidences in competition and IP law cases
On 9th April, Claudio Lombardi, research fellow at the HSE-Skolkovo International Laboratory for Law and Development, conducted a seminar on economic evidence in innovation sectors for the bachelor students of the HSE Faculty of Laws. The study was part of a seminar series leading up to a course on “Law, Economics and Society: Innovative approaches to legal analysis” to be commenced on coming September 2015.

International Conference on Intellectual Property and Competition in the Pharmaceutical Industry
On the 19 and 20th of March, Rome hosted an international conference on intellectual property and competition in the pharmaceutical industry, organised by the Italian Competition Authority and the World Intellectual Property Organisation. The Lab was represented by Alexey Ivanov.
Change in Legislation on the Regulation of Parallel Imports
The government is in the advanced stages of giving permission to allow parallel imports for certain categories of goods. In February, Head of the Laboratory Alexey Ivanov attended a meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov on this topic and a subsequent discussion with participant parties at the Federal Antimonopoly Service.
